Gabriel’s parting words to Mary in Luke 1.37 relates a familiar theme throughout the Bible. But it’s often misunderstood to mean “God can get me anything I want.” Or “God wants me to live my best life right now!” These interpretations of God’s providence quickly lead to disappointment in our lives; and sometimes a rejection of God when we’re struggling or dissatisfied. This week, Rev Jim opens the Bible to Luke 1.26-38 to discover what it means when the angel tells Mary, “For nothing will be impossible with God.”
